Hmmmm....

I really wish there was another way of living life sometimes.  Between work and school and whatever else comes along, I feel like I have no time for the things that I would like to be doing.  I don't get much time for being social, which is ultimately what I live for.  I tend to be social at work, which helps ease the pain, but sometimes, it's just not the same as just hanging out with my friends.  I hope I adjust to this new way of life soon or else I might just go crazy.  People don't call me anymore.  They don't really pay attention anymore.  While I am on the road to trying to find myself, I keep losing everyone and everything that used to be important to me.

So hi!

Yeah, its been a little more than a month since my last posting.  Not much to report.  I filed my taxes, got back some money.  They are doing a biggest loser thing at work so I opted into that, so on with dieting again.  Since I know how to lose weight, im back on the healthy horse and moving at a rabbits pace.  Purchased a membership to Bally's for a year.  Cash of course.  That was an investment.  I am going to pay off some bills early, so I don't have any to pay for a while.  That would be awesome.  Other than that, I don't know what else there is really.  Work is going as usual.  I have about 2 months til spring break.  There are no days off or holidays before then, so its going to be a long 2 months.  Not looking forward to that, but oh well.  I hope it goes fast.

Last Night

Ok, last night was the first day in the new year, that's a given.  It was also a busy day for me.  I woke up in the morning and made a pot of coffee.  I did some facebook stuff and then the fun began.  I had to revamp my hair from the night before, so it would look decent.  I washed my face of all New Year's Eve makeup to go with a less dramatic the next time around.  Then I put on my outfit for the day, got the keys to the van and headed out.  I went to the bank to get some money and then to the store to pick up a card for Jessica and Fred.  But only after wrapping thier awesome spun glass swan in really beautiful wedding wrapping paper.  The card was nice.  I work with Jessica and she has been really excited to marry Fred since the day I met her.  Yesterday was the big day.  I headed out to thier apartment for the reception and everything was really nice.  I wasn't able to stay for the whole thing because I had a prior committment to go to Andrew's house to hang out.  So I stretched it out and stayed at Jessica's up until 20 minutes before my ride was supposed to get to my house.  Lucky for me, I don't live very far from Jessica.   I went to 7-Eleven to pick up some smokes and headed back home.  I gave my mom the perfume I had ordered from Avon for her.  She liked it.  That's always a good thing.  I thought she would.  Then I chatted with everyone in my house before Jasmyne and George were calling my phone to let me know they were outside.

And we're off....

I'm sitting in the back of George's SUV and talking with them about random things.  Just regular in the car talk.  It takes about ten minutes to get to Andrew's house.  When we get there, we go in and we chat about everything from disney movie heros and villains to travel dangers and cruises.  We are really just stretching time while waiting for another one of Andrew's friends, named Will, to get there.  Eventually, he gets there and we talk electronics for a little while.  Then the main task of finding something entertaining to do comes about.  We ultimately discussed Sonic and a few other places, thus, remembering that nothing is open because of the holiday, we decide to go to Jillians.  They are open until midnight.  Works for us, we can eat and play and be merry.  Once again, we all hop into George's SUV.  His SUV is huge, so sitting all of us was not a problem.  We got there, and Jasmyne and I smoked a cig and then we all went in.  We were seated quickly and without incident.  We got a waiter named Jamie and his intentions were really good, but he was completely clueless about alcoholic drinks.  It was kinda cute and funny.  Go figure, he was only 19, so he still has time to learn.  Anyways, we got our food, ate it, talked about all types of random topics, finished our food and drinks, then headed off to the game room.  Now the fun begins.  I found my choice game of the night and posted myself there.  Turns out, my game was everyone else's game too.  They were all there and we kinda took over that little part of Jillians.  I ended up winning over 1000 tickets.  That was pretty awesome.  Since, I don't go to Jillians very often, I see no need in saving tickets and so I traded them in for 5 shot glasses and some little candies to kill the rest of the ticket count.  I gave a shot glass to everyone and kept one for myself.  I have no need for 5 shot glasses, heck, I don't even really have a need for one.  Everyone finished up all thier gaming and ticket redeeming and we headed out.  We took Jasmyne home first and then I was the next to go.  By then, Andrew was busting at the seams to go play World of Warcraft.  Yeah, gamers....period.  I got home, went in and that was the end of the night.  It was fun and I have no complaints.
Work begins again tomorrow.  Ugh!  That's all I have to say.  Next we get to look forward to Spring Break and I need to figure out something to do then.  Time to save money so I can actually do something.  Tax returns are already spent to have a massive vacation this summer.  Gonna go see mah heffa in Hawaii!!!  That's going to be fun.  I can't wait.

So this is my blog

I figured that having a blog might be a good thing considering that most of the people I know don't see me on a daily basis to really know what is going on with my life.  Heck, most of them live across the country in other states, so they really don't get a first-hand experience of everything that happens in my life.  For the most part, everything is good.  I'm employed with a job that is almost not like a job.  Basically, I get alot of social time at work, so it works for me.  I'm single and have been for a large percentage of my life, but I'm not too concerned about it.  Yeah, I go on dates every now and again, it's basically the task of finding someone who I can even bear the thought of being with every single day for the rest of my life.  That's hard to do.  I never really figured I'd still be looking at this age, but nothing is ever as we expect it to be.  I do have awesome friends, though.  Most of my friends have known me for quite some time and realize that I am a unique individual and just let me be who I am.  There is nothing better than having friends who understand that you are the kind to be loud and boisterous one day and quiet and reserved the next.  It's all a part of who I am.  Life is nothing but a roller coaster, just up and down, up and down.  If you learn to just go with it, it makes it a lot easier in the long run.
